When reading iPhone data fails with SV4

 

Connect the phone to pc and Launch iTunes and click on the icon (see below)

Launch iTunes (Latest version) and take backup off the target iphon

  1. If you are prompted by " Back up apps ?" "Don't backup apps"
  2. select "Don't backup apps" Let it finish backup
  3. Once backup is done go to ACQUIRE below.

ACQUIRE:

Please Try SV4 - Acquire - From Files - iO/S Back up and follow the instruction there BY BrowsING to the following location

  1. Go to C:\Users{your computer name\AppData(this may be hidden if so see the image below on how to make it appear)\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup 

HOW TO UN-HIDE HIDDEN FOLDERS -FOLLOW 1 - 2 - 3 (For Windows 10 go to Home -Options(Change folder and search options)

  1. Find the latest folderwith a long folder name like (sample 4a83cf2dfc073649f71f47aa51ed93fac4b30db5) Simply highlight the folder and Click OK - OK and open it.   This should start reading the data

Alternative way: (Only iO/S 10 or later phones)

Please be sure to have the latest 4.3.3 to follow the procedures below.

Launch SV4
Acquire - From Files - iO/S from Backup
Select items you must have (Messages , Call history, etc) and turn off the ones that you may not need for now
You can disregard the instructions for now and simply click OK - OK until you the "Choose Folder Path" box
Click on Choose then Browse to Desktop - SecureView - Your failed report folder - File System
If under the File System , you see a long folder name like (sample 4a83cf2dfc073649f71f47aa51ed93fac4b30db5) Simply highlight the folder and Click OK - OK
This should start reading the data
